my view new threads/posts since last visit does not work everytime started on moday - i have not changed any settings on my end - anyone else having this phenomenon?

I use that feature all the time, including a number of times this morning - no problems at all...



And, while I'm at it, thanks for the extra effort Steve - this afternoon/evening will be interesting to see - hope it all pans out!

when i select the view new posts on home scren(not the pull down selection) i get : vbulletin message

Have you changed how you are logging in to the site or how you are coming to the site? Going to the front page first instead of the forum page for example? Logging out each time instead of letting the cookie log you in? Logging in on the front page instead of on the forum page? There may be a bug on our end and that will help me debug it.

i have edited the above quote with my responses

i returned to home page after responding and clicked view new posts and it worked this time - may have been protocol on our server

Ok, here's one: tonight I logged on the front page it said 241 new posts, but when I click on new posts, I only got 216? It always seems to lose 10-15%. Any ideas?

You probably have some forums turned off in your default searches - the political and other forums are turned off by default for example. The link on the front page just looks for how many new posts are on the forums total. When you click on view new posts it brings up your default forums. If you aren't familiar with the default forums feature look at the forum list and you'll see to the left of the forum names circles with S's in them. The ones that are grey are included in your searches by default. The ones that are red with a slash through the S are not included in your searches by default. You can change whether they are included or not by clicking on those S's.
