2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Vin number check?

I am just checking to see if I am correct. I am looking at a salvage truck with the vin number 3B7KF23C02M2xxxxx. It is a 2002 so 8th digit is engine code so this is an HO (C code) right?

PS ~ I always thought only 8th had to be 7 to be an HO.

Nope, you are correct "C" denotes HO. Also the HO's only came with a 6 speed manual for that year.
