I am going to have to get my truck repainted before too long, and I have been contemplating adding some graphics. Don't want to pay for custom paint though, so I am wondering if there are any mfgs who put out graphics packages for the 2nd gen trucks. Kind of like the idea of being able to remove it down the road if desired.

I have seen a couple of trucks in the past that had printed graphics on them - photos, flags, etc - and I would like to have one of those rippling Texas flag graphics on the side of the truck.

Anyone ever seen anything like this advertised for sale?

Here's what I had put on mine - cost $200 applied - done at a local detail shop, guy had literally HUNDREDS of designs to choose from!:

And a closeup of the eagle on the hood - a magnetic device, looks good, and can be lifted off and moved to different locations on the truck, or to another vehicle...

Mike,

I too have a 2nd gen truck and it is in the Body Shop as we speak. While it is getting a new paint job, I have been busy getting the accessories together for it. I had all of the factory nameplates, badges and decals removed along with the body side molding. I purchased new nameplates from Dodge, but went with the 2004 style. I also changed out the hood for a Reflections steel cowl induction hood. I have been thinking about a graphics package myself, and have been looking around to see if something caught my eye. What I found was there are many, many decal shops that offer a variety of designs. Also many of the available graphics are of the one color design. This is fine it that fits into your overall theme, but I was looking for a multi color graphic that wasn't "in you face" loud, yet looked go and blended well. From all of the places I looked, a manufacture named "Ruge" seemed to be the best for me. They offer many styles and sizes of exterior graphics that look very much like a custom air brushed graphic. The price is reasonable, From $62 to $ 139, and they made of high quality materials. I have on of there styles on a '2000 Ford, and it still looks great after 4 years of use. They can be purchased from most of the larger truck accessory stores, or you can go to www.stylinconcepts.com. I use them alot, they have good prices, great service and will price match any other competitor. Good luck in your search, and let me know if you find anything you like from Stylin Concepts or from another source. I have not purchased anything myself, and would love to found some new sites. Good Luck

One thing - don't think that just because they are vinyl, they can be easily removed without leaving any traces if you don't like it or want to change designs - if left on very long, differences in paint fading MIGHT be pretty obvious and objectionable...

FYI... ;)

Outstanding! Thanks fellas!

Gary, that decal scheme is slick, particularly the eagle. Your truck is mighty sharp!

Im not into gaphics on my truck i like the bare look no emblems or tailgate gate plastic but the only problem with the eagle you got there is someone could steal that very fast. ITs a Magnet
