Just picked up a 2016 regular cab with vinyl seats. Looking to replace with cloth. Either the seats or just the covers. Short of buying new covers at the dealer which cost an arm and a leg, what are the chances of finding anyone that upgraded to leather and might have their old cloth covers available? Any other options?

Slim to none. Buy after market seat covers from Wet Okle, or similar that make direct fit covers and call it good

This is a 2016 not a 1996, need a factory original cover not a redneck solution. See some sets on Ebay for crewcabs but not for regular cabs. Wonder if they might work.

I replaced my cloth seats with leather seats in my 2008. Why? They wore out and were ripped. I found a small seat reupholstery shop that was able to rebuild my seats with new cushions, leather and an electric lumbar support for the passenger seat all for under $850.
Look around and ask local car guys that are into rebuild cars, they tend to know who does the best work at reasonable prices.

Thanks, already checked into that. Upholstery shop can make up a pair of cloth covers for $700 but not worth spending nearly 10% of what I paid for the truck for that when I see original sets in good shape on Ebay for under $200 that are for front and rear.

None of the suggestions in this thread are redneck.

I just associate those slip on seat covers with beater trucks.

If you use your truck at all like it is intended, you will quickly understand why so many people cover up their cloth seats with seat covers. I'd honestly rather have vinyl for my uses, along with a vinyl floor instead of carpet. Much easier to clean and doesn't stain like cloth seats and carpet.

I add seat covers to all of my trucks. When I sold my 3rd gen that was just shy of 300k miles, my seats looked pristine when I pulled the covers off.

Quality covers from Wet Okle, Covercraft etc are custom made and fit like OJ Simpson's gloves

Maybe I wasn't clear in the original post, but by seat covers I mean the actual cover that is over the seat frame and foam. Not looking for a secondary cover that goes over the vinyl that is there now. Want to replace the vinyl itself.

Marathon or Headwaters make tight fitting covers. The optional fore and aft pockets are indispensable once you've had them.
Marathon will mail you fabric samples.
