Nice Pic's!!! Thanks for posting. That looks like a nice neighborhood. No wonder that critter liked it there. So would I. Since I need to clean my glasses, I'm assuming that critter is a moose.



I had a cousin that lived in Bragg Creek, Alberta (Canada) & his property bordered a national forest. It was not uncommon for moose to come onto his property. I never got to see them but, sure would have liked to.



The pictures you folks post in this forum sure are nice. Wonderful places to live in the US. Some not so wonderful (Detroit, MI. , my hometown for instance). I now live in Phoenix & if you travel AZ a bit, there are some beautiful areas, down here. The mountains are beautiful with lots of large elk herds in certain areas. I've seen herds of 300, at time. Quite amazing for a city boy. Glad I've gotten to see some of the really beautiful areas of our country, especially, in the mountainous/Western US.

I believed this to be a cow(female), my neighbor, who's house is in the picture,called me and said, it just knocked it's rack off in his garden.



He's moving real slow, still where he was this am, all the gray coat, maybe he's not feeling well.

Umm, the antlers should indicate it's a bull(male), and the grayish hair should start to molt(shed) with the longer days. It probably had a hard winter and is looking for some good vittles. I'd wager it's a young male, and looking for a territory of it's own, run off by it's mother and other, larger males, to fend for itself in the world. They can be lazy until they feel threatened, then they can run for miles!! Watch out for a kick that'd put a mule to shame!! They can be dangerous animals, even if by accident.

Umm, the antlers should indicate it's a bull(male)

I never saw it with the antlers, so I had assumed it was a cow:-laf. He hung out all day, but was not present this morning.
