Howdy,

I'm wondering, if you had a stock ETC injector and a RV 275 both in your hand, could you visually tell the difference? Are there numbers somewhere on these injectors that can distinguish the two? Please let me know what to look for. Thank you.

There is a ten (10) didgit part number stamped on the body of each injector. Its a Bosch pn and the 275 will be different than your original ones.

Correct-no visable difference. All the component parts are the same, except the nozzle. Unless you diss-assemble the injector you can't tell the nozzle is different because you can't see the nozzle pn when it is assembled in the injector.

yeah but...

Can someone give me a part number example for both a stock ECT injector and a RV 275 injector?

What I'm looking at here has these markings:

0432193635 939 (circled) 084 4183

Just before the 043... . there's a symbol that looks like a # sign and its circled. Does anyone have a stock ETC injector and/or a RV 275 injector laying around that they can tell me what their markings are? Thanks for the help.

The part number on the stock ECT injector is 0432193653 followed by a circled number 939 and after the circled number, 862. This is from a 1998 built in April.

Thanks Dave...

Hey Dave,

That was extremely helpful! Looks like I have a 235 ETC injector (body). The other number(s) may be the date of production (for the injector). For instance the 862, made in 98, the 6th day of the 2nd month, maybe? And mine being made in 2000, the 8th day of the 4th month?

Anyway, that helps. What would really be the icing on the cake would be if someone would provide me these same #'s from their RV 275's. Of course I'm not expecting anyone to tear theirs out of their motor , I'm hoping someone has pulled their 275's out already to go to bigger injectors and may have their old 275's laying around and they can look at those numbers. Thanks guys.

Re: Re: Visual difference between injectors?

The pn of the 275hp injector is 0-432-193-635. Check with Cummins to verify.

I've had

BD2's for 24 hours after having 275's for 9month's with a VA and the BD2's are awesome :D

Very Nice Injectors :)

Anyone have info or experience with these injectors?

I have a set of 6 Brand New Bosch Injector, fits the Cummins ISB Engine CPL 2078, 230hp @2500 rpm, 605ft-lb @ 1600rpm More tech data: Bosch # 0 432 191 545 KBEL84P162 Nozz# 0433171490 Cummins Inj# 394 3203 Injector comes with the 302 9820 O'ring & 390 6659 seal washer. Picked these up for my Dad's truck and he wouldn't do it. Notice that the spec's show horsepower rated at only 2500 rpm and great torque for towing. Was told that these really wake up stock trucks, especially those with auto trans. I have no use for them and paid only $150. 00 for six new injectors. Anyone out there have knowledge or experience?

I'd disagree with those that say the stock injectors and the rv275 injectors look the same. When I replaced my stock injectors (98. 5) with the RV injectors there was an obvious difference. If you look at the nozzle on the stock injector you'll see fewer spray holes than on the RV injectors. I don't remember the number at the moment, but the RV injector had about 50% more spray holes.

I want some too!!!!

Roger,

You planning on hanging on to these? If not, I might like to play with them.
