I recently purchased an edge ez and have not recieved it yet. I am worried I have to remove something with a void sticker:eek: do I? I looked at what I thought was the map sensor and data link and see no VOID stickers.

sticker

just bought the wife a 2001 yesterday and it has a void sticker on the plug on the inj. pump so that if you were to plug in a VAbox apparenly they would notice something is up. anybody with a 2002 notice these?? hers is a 2001. 5. mine is a 2001 early version and did not have it. maybe the dealer put the sticker on her truck as it is used.

I think they started on the 2001. 5 trucks. I too have a 2001 and no sticker (not that I would'nt rip it off and throw it away).

I had a void sticker from stealer. When I bought the VA box I used to run, The guy who sold it to me gave me a couple of void stickers. I never put them back on and have been to the dealer twice with no consequence's. Not a recommendation but just my experience.

I had asked about this some time ago - exhaust brake time to be exact.

Seems I remember someone said that around 2001 they started putting them on injection pump and ECM - but not all trucks got them and there was no way to tell which ones did and which ones didn't. That's my recollection anyway.

FYI - the Cummins/Dodge/Jacobs exhaust brake tells you to remove the connector from the ECM (no mention of void stickers. ) The Cummins and Dodge techs I talked to on the phone said there would be no issues with removing it. However, that doesn't say that adding performance enhancements won't be an issue. If you're prepared to play, you should be prepared to pay (for items that could be affected. )

I think it would be funny as he11 if one of us went up to the service adviser or parts counter and asked if we could purchase a new sticker... of course, bring your wife's car with you when you go in so the service guy doesn't chance you our of the parking lot with a pencil and notepad trying to get your license number. :D :D :D Am I alone, or am I just juvenile?
