Volant cold air intake

Does any one have any info on their new system for the 03-04, I know it just came out this month, and wondering has any one tried it out yet. I know most use AFE but I was looking for something different.

His is on a 2nd Gen ISB with an HX-40...

My STRONG Opinion: If you are going to go w/ an oilable Cotton/ Gauze air filter... go with the AFE Pro-Guard 7 filtering media.



I have had the K & N and AFE's regular filter and they both let sand/ Dirt through. Especially with a new truck, you want the best filtering available.

I have one on a Ford Pre-runner truck I own. They seem to be a good company that has good products. I would not be afraid to try something new and fresh. There are way to many on sites like this that only follow blindly in the path that others have chosen. Be a leader, and be different. Remember, you will never succeed if you are afraid to fail. It has always worked for me.

The volant system is a sweet looking setup. I just don't see how the design could possibly allow the kind of flow that an AFE mega does. I will say this... . a buddy of mine has one on his Ford 7. 3 and he absolutely loves it.

Thanks, for your input... . I bought mine the other day and am expecting it this week Ill let you know how it turns out. I agree that you have to try different things and this system looks awesome.

If any one is interested, the cheapiest I found it was 279. 99 with free shipping. It does come with an afe filter (not the pro 7 thou) and all kits do come with the prefilter sock.

My reasoning for buying this kit is I live up her in Minesota and we got lots of road salt/sand mix. I was concerened that with how open the AFE was I might be screwed. Volant has the box around the filter and claims it gets its cold air from outside, and gets as much air as the AFE system... . Will see I guess
