Does anyone have any experience with the Volant PowerCore filter made by Donaldson? Looking at putting one on a 07 Ram and maybe a 98. 5, both of which are used on a farm and see use in very fine dusty fields. Can't seem to find any good replacement filters both stock or aftermarket that really keep the dirt out. I would not expect the PowerCore to reach its 100,000 mile mark in these conditions, but wonder if anyone has seen first hand how well these filters do at keeping the dirt out of the motor.

Thanks

That filter is on the cutting edge as far as I am concerned. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to install one on my truck

Why don't you try a pre-filter? Maybe it will help. I rapped one of my wife's stockings around the filter (or was it my fat girlfriend's) and it works great and fits like a glove. Go to shop-rite or alike and by the size you need for $2. 00.

Thanks guys, I have been running a pre-filter and it does catch a little, but not near enough. I am thinking its worth trying, can't hurt anymore than the others. Anyone else have any words of wisdom that I should take into consideration?
