What are the reasons you guys went w/ the Volant system and not some of the other brands?

I've read some things about it but no real #'s as far a egt reduction/mpg/sound etc...

Right now I'm trying to decide between this system and the MegaCannon. Mr. Bob's Dist. has a pretty good price on it.

I would say do a search on VOLANT and see what it brings up for ya.



Me I love it Went from the BHAF to the volant and the Volant and the BHAF have the same EGT drop from what I have seen. The Filter itself is an AFE filter.

no the filter out of the Maga Cannon is bigger and wont fit. they do use AFE filters which was one of the reasons i went to it. the other reasons were it uses the fender inlet like the stock box has, it has a hole in the back corner to use out of the cowl area. it has a new plastic tube to the turbo and they just flat out looked cool. according to AFE the filter will flow 820CFM@1. 5" of H2O. that's not with it in the box I would like to think it would be slightly less in the Volant box.



I used a hood scoop from a 99-03 Mustang GT and routed a third inlet to mine in the top rear corner that is fed from the scoop. RAM AIR right now i am working on a hand fabbed box out of SS that will accept the same filter use all the same inlets and have a SS tube routed to the turbo as well. this way my entire system will be SS from the hood scoop to the turbo and all points in between. I am also working on a custom grille and SS insert for it, the bumper and the hood scoop. I am shaving the molded lines out of the hood (down the center) taking out the hump in the grille where the Dodge badge sits, taking out the cross section of the grille that seperates it onto four quadrants so the grille looking straight on will be one big opening with a SS insert. I might even have to build in a TDR emblem into the grille insert
