All,

Need the help of this forum again. The first indication of a problem was the "check guages" light came on. The guage that was not within normal was the voltmeter which had fallen off to zero. I travelled on to my destination - only a few miles - and went to work. On the way home, my voltmeter seemed to be normal and the warning light did not come on. My voltmeter read normal, even a tad high if anything. I stopped at Advanced Auto and had them perform a check on my alternator and it tested fine. I just replaced my batteries about two months ago.

Assuming these things don't heal, what do you think is wrong? I guess the worst that could happen is that my batteries would be drained but I don't want to do that to these new batteries.

Thanks,

Craig

could be voltage regulator. I believe that is in the PCM. IF its bad Ihave heard it can be bypassed with a regular unit. you would have to know which wires to cut into.

Do you have a digital VOM I would monitor it with that , These gauges suck, They are 1 step up from an idot light
