My 08 c&c 4500 is producing too many volts
I have 16.50 at the alt and batteries, but the scanner reads the pcm at 13.8 to 14.5
It has done this since I bought it in January, I replaced the alt a month ago
I cleaned the body grounds (Not the engine grounds yet) thinking about replacing the battery cables anyway, Theyre falling apart at the terminals.
Is the Voltage Regulator supplied signal from the PCM? or just system voltage? Sounds like a wiring fault to the alt, but then why is the pcm only at 14. wire fault to the pcm?
I also have the headlight flicker problem, and various sensor glitches, CEL is always on. (have to clean the Turbo, too)
Any ideas would be appreciated
