Wait Hang on ... 10 planets!? Huh There goes science class

OK my sister in law owns a three year old Volvo S40 POS. She bought because she believed the commercials and hey the sales guy told her it would go 200,000 plus easy before any problems cropped up. Anyway my question is about brake rotors. The POS goes through them every 25,000. Anyone have a link for the Volvo version of TDR. This girl needs some help. Get this she is planning on dumping the Volvo and buying a Hyundai. WTF she thinks American cars are junk! I told her to buy a damn Toyota Camry and quit complaining. Any way she is pretty cool as far as in laws go and I would like to help her.

Thanks in advance

I've owned two Volvos (a 1983 245 Turbo Wagon and a 1993 850 GLT), and they have been pretty good cars. The S40 is something of a special case - it was a joint development with Mitsubishi originally intended for the European market.

From the little I have read on the Volvo Forums so far it sounds like the older cars were pretty good but this S40 seems to be a bad deal. Read something about Volvo being owned by Ford! Can't get away from that no matter where I go!;)

Thanks for the Replies. Sounds like the S40 needs a TDR of there own... ... but you don't get a TDR without a legendary peice of iron like the CTD. The next best Automobile forumn I ever camme across was ITOG The Isuzu Troopers Owners Guild, great source of info similar to TDR but I think the people running the site got lazy and a virus destroyed the whole thing, no worries though my 4ZE1 trooper is still running strong;)
