Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) VP 44 and Smarty

I have looked but not found any reference to what if anything needs to be done if you have a VP44 failure and a Smarty program in use at the time of the failure. Is it necessary to go back to stock or ?

If you are going back to the dealer it is otherwise no.

Ditto for me, P0216 on Fuel saver program...
I changed it back to stock before having the IP removed, rebuilt and installed. Than reloaded the Smarty. .
