I have been having lots of problems with my 01. For the last four months. The Fuel shutts off at the VP44 under full load.

My present problem is at full throtle I get 1 pound of fuel pressure and the truck engine bucks like someone shut the fuel off and on 3 times fast between the rpm range of 2600 - 2800 rpms, after that things are fine all the way up to 3200 rpms, but I still get a low fuel pressure warning on my FMS from Blue Chip. I have an 2001 with HX35 14cfm turbo, DDII, A Blue Chip FMS, Puck Timing Box, 4" Exhaust, K & N intake, Trans shift Kit. All with 10,000 miles on it. this has been going on from the start of the upgrades.

I just sent to Jannetty Racing for a Fuel up grade. A set of 100GPH Vain Fuel Lift Pumps, new lines and fittings to the injector pump. He assures me this will cure the bucking problem.

After 3 Months and three new fuel lift pumps, no one knows what to do. The latest "fix" was a new ECM from dodge all this did was put the truck in "limp mode" I went back to the old one, and back to the same problem. The next trick is a new converter, the thought is that the tuck is spooling up to fast and sending a code to the ecm to shut down the fuel until after the curve 2600 - 2800 rpm is over Will see.

Steve,

I did have this problem before I changed pumps. I went to a Mallory 110 marine and located it beside the fuel tank. I also debated going with bigger fuel lines until we tested them to see how much of an inprovement it would be. We did the test with Mopar Muscle, Mass Diesel, and Laser Bob all present and we found out that there was no improvement therefore no need for me to go out and waste my money. Unfortunately Mass Diesel had already done so. I believe the whole upgrade ended up costing me about $300 canadian. Now my pressure stays at around 6-7psi under full throttle with Super Mentals, and a very custom comp box.
