What kind of pressure should I be running at the inlet to my VP 44?

I've seen some post about 13. 5#.

I'm running at 19#. Should I drop it to around 13#-14#?

Thanks.

Jeff

I think you are fine. You may adjust it down if you want, but check your pressure at WOT and make sure it stays above 10 - ish or so. I have my fuel regulator adjusted to 16 psi at idle.

But.....

I am the kind of kind that thinks if 14 psi is good, then 42 psi is better. In this case however, 14 psi is really good enough.

I am also an ex-Sub Sailor, but quite a few years ago.....

Thanks for the replies.

I guess I'l leave it alone. Just need the new gauge isolator to get here so I can hook the FP gauge back up.

NoSeeUm; I retired in the fall of 1996, so it's been a while since I rode a boat also. When did you do your service? What was your rating, if you don't mind my asking.
