 I had some problems with my fass 150 system it turned out to be some condensation under the caps, NOW I AM WORRIED :( :{ about my vp-44, going out early I have had the system in for less than a month and it quit working for how long? I hopefully caught it in time I normally hear the Fass come on but it didnt and i did not want to drive the truck it would start fine but it did have, some problems erratic idle almost died but didnt, when I drove it on the trailer to take it back to the place that put in the fass pump, I will check the codes, the truck is 01 and only has 42,000 miles on it who would be flipping the bill I will check the codes tonight, and see what comes up  but I need to know who would be responsible if I have a bad code? or do need a new vp-44, ADVICE needed the truck seems to be running fine, but iwant to CMA if you know what I mean thanks Guys!!!!!!!!!!! Oo.

I gather from your story that you do not have a fuel pressure gauge. I had a fuel filter plug early in the life of my 01. 5. About 20k later, the injection pump died. I have always felt the plugged filter was a factor in its early demise.

I installed a fuel pressure gauge when I replaced the injection pump. I am sure it has saved me from having more problems. Less than $50 for a gauge to protect a $1000 pump seems logical to me! GET A GAUGE!

Yeah, guages are usually the first mod recommended, especially a fuel pressure gauge.

Is the pump wire tapped on your truck??? If not take the Comp off and take it to DC for warranty work.

If not, like keimmmo add at least $50 to that min. $1000 for the pump and protect yourself next time.
