I know this sounds kinda funny but I would like to know if I can put the vp 44 off of my 99 engine onto my 98 12 valve. I know that the P7100 will work on the 24 valve and getting lines for that isn't hard but is there anyone who can make lines to go from the VP44 to a 12 valve engines injectors? I figure this would be my biggest hold up in the process. I have my 98 and like it but want the in cab controllability I had with my 99. I still have my 99 that i totalled in its entirity so the computer and wiring would just need moved over along with a few sensors I'm sure. I am curious if anyone has tried this or knows of anyone that has. Would the lines from an old VE pump from a pre 94 work? Just thinking out loud here but I am rebuilding my 99 into a pulling truck and would really like to have that P7100 on it for pulling the sled. :D Thanks for any help. Dan

There was a thread in 12 valve asking the same thing about a month ago.

The consensus was why trade something reliable for something that isn't.

It would be expendsive also.

I would just swap engines if its that important to you. If you want adjustability,Id just put a Valet switch on the 12V,and call it a day:D

Where would you install cam and crank position sensors?

Some one said at some point the crank position sensor had been eliminated but I don't remember which year it was done.
