VP crapping out or ? Codes: p0253 + p0236

Well the truck started running a little rough on mid throttle accel, acts like a slight miss, sometimes more- just not smooth. Turning on the PM3 only aggravates the problem. It doesn't have the power that it used to, also the idle is a little different, thats hard to tell with hrvp. Today I finally got it to throw a couple of codes p0253, and p0236. The VP is only 2mos and 4 days old. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks, Nick.

I had the 253 code at one time with the DDUFM box. I completely unhooked the box, wiring harness and stock boost elbow installed and the truck ran fine. Diesel Dynamics replaced the box and everything was fine after that.

Update:

Well I disconnected the pm3 completely and checked over all wiring. I found that the posi tap for the power pierced the side of the wire and didn't go all the way through- corrected that and then drove w/out pm3 hooked up. Still has slight miss under acceleration, but didn't feel any surge as before. I couldn't get it to throw any codes. Came home and reconnected pm3, drove, no codes. Miss is more noticeable w/pm3, but at least it is consistent. Under full throttle it is hard to notice. I'm hoping all the codes were related to power wire and not vp :( . I've never had an injector go bad but is this sounding like a possibility? Any and all opinions are welcomed. Thanks, Nick.

I had the 0253 code and a stumble with my Edge Comp box, ended up finding out that the ground was intermittant. Does the PM3 box have a ground wire? Is it run directly to the battery? If not run it to the battery and try that.

No pm3 is grounded to pump wiring harness. I'll give it a try tommorow after work. It surged on the way home under moderate throttle today- pm3 was on. tommorow I'll make the drive with it off. I'm scared that its the vp :( - idles different, doesn't run as smooth, intermittent surge on accel. Also I changed the apps several months ago. I'll call pdw tommorow so he knows what is going on with it. Thanks for all replies, Nick.
