Why are the factory injector lines ID so small? when is upping injector line size needed? What are the advantages (or drawbacks) of installing?

I would say that the injector lines are the last thing that should be done, unless you have a monster VP, then it is mandatory. If you have done all of the fueling mods with 200hp sticks or more, than bigger lines will help slightly, but your idle will be erratic, and your timing will be retarded. I don't really think its worth it, unless you are a big fan of lopey idling vehicle that stall when idling in gear at a stop light.
