Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) vp issues

if no codes were set for the vp could it still be my problem? truck cranks all day long but wont start. connections are all good and fuel to the vp still just wont start. Starts occasionally but not for the last three months. any ideas?

Are you getting any codes at all? Or did you ever have any codes and clear them when the problem started?

Check to be sure lp is putting out good pressure. Check your fuses/relays. Under the hood check the fuel system relay, that one will keep the truck from starting. If all are good crack 2-3 of the lines at the injectors and crank over to see if you are in fact getting good fuel flow to the injectors.

I had a bad metering valve in one of my pumps. It only threw a code in the final days. But if it is a meter valve, under load the truck will not run smooth at mid range RPMs.
