I have searched and searched and not found the answer to my problem, please help! My 2000 3500 automatic quit the other night with no warning. It has been cranking and running great and all of a sudden quit like I switched the key off and has not cranked since. I have a fuel pressure gauge on the banjo fitting of the VP44 and it is showing 15 psi. I have taken the fitting loose and plenty of fuel comes out. I took several of the lines loose at the head and only a couple of them had some fuel coming out but not enough. I checked the codes and I got P0336, P1690, and P1688. I pulled the VP44 off tonight, turned it by hand and a little bit of fuel spurted out of all six outlets. Will the crankshaft or cam sensor keep the VP44 from fueling correctly? Could it be the ECM? I hate to buy an injection pump when all I need is a sensor. By the way, I bought this truck with 100,000 miles on it and it now has 160,000. I don't know it the VP44 has ever been replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Po 336 crankshaft position sensor.

Po1690 fuel pump cmp sensor not agree with ECM and CKP.

po 1688 internal fuel injection pump controller failure.

Looks like you have vp-44 failure and crank position sensor.
