Does anyone have the Cummins part numbers for the 98. 5 upgrade ECM and the HO VP44? Has anyone tried this combination and if so, how did it work? I'm going to change them anyway and thought I would upgrade to these. Have 270,000+ on the original injection pump. It has all the bad symptoms that it is about to die. Would appreciate any input on this.

what do you want to do with the ecm? buy a new one or reflash? Are you looking for a hot rod vp44? or just a stock replacement?

I would like to buy a new HO pump and a new ECM. If I call a Cummins dealer the first question will be for the numbers off the tag on the front of the engine. This won't get what I would like to have. I'm sure someone has replaced their VP44 with one from the HO engine. If anyone has the part no. , I sure would appreciate it.

That is the number that came on my truck, does anyone have the Cummins part number for the upgrade ECM for a 98. 5 and for a stock HO VP44. I have read about others installing this pump on the SO engine with good results. Maybe someone has the part number on an invoice or the box the pump came in. Thanks, Kenny
