I lost my first VP44 at 95,000 miles. This was about 24,000 miles after replacing the lift pump. I am now at 145,000 miles and I am needing another VP44.

The first pump just died. This one is going a slow death. I put a fuel presure guage on a little after having the VP44 replaced. I have never seen less the 7 PSI at WOT, so I would like to see what the failure rate is at what presure.

My truck has never seen less the 4-5 PSI WOT, and has had a big line kit since the install of the PM3 Comp and has never seen less then 7 PSI WOT.

I think most guys that starve the pump for fuel are having sudden mechanical failure, while the guys that keep plenty of fuel to it are having electrical issues and drivability problems (power loss, eratic throttle, dead pedal, etc).
