Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) VP44 from TST?

Anyone here gotten a new pump from TST? I've bought products from them before and been very happy. Spoke to them today and they stock the pumps, $1400 exch. , rebuilt by someone else of course, but they claim their rebuilder is VERY sought after. Anyone know who that is or why, if any, difference?

$1400 is high. It better be really nice.

ATS has a VP44 that is all done up. If you are replacing, it you might as well go for a pump that will give up more performance.
