Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) VP44 going south, warrranty?

Wife was driving it home the other day and had a total loss of power. After pulling over and sitting for 30 minutes, she was able to drive home. FP shows to be a little low, 10 lbs @ idle and 5 lbs down the road. I called DC and they said the in-service was 8/27/99, but the truck is showing right at 96,000 miles. Of course they said they would not cover under warranty, I am wondering if there is any other direction I can pursue?? I have a new lift pump and feul filter, but thought I need to exhaust all (if any) other (warranty) possibilitys before getting into it. Thanks!

I've found that if you raise enough h*ll, you'll get what you want. Call Cummins, call every Dodge dealership around, call everyone you can. Someone will (maybe) be willing to help.
