Who to get new pump from? Old one is getting bad :mad: #@$%!#@$%!#@$%!.
There is a very slight hesitation when my foot gets heavy ;) :-laf: Checked codes, P0216 shows up :mad: Want to replace it before it dies and I am stuck in the cold. :{

2002 Reg cab 2500 4X4 5spd. Mods prior to my owning, Banks exhaust, bighead wastegate, Ottomind tuner. Since I have had it, Westach gauges, fuel, boost, pyro in the pillar mount from Geno's. GFS-392 liftpump, big line kit from Glacier Diesel. Heavy duty master/slave cylinder from South Bend Clutch.

I bought mine from Diesel performance parts and accessories. Diesel injectors, pumps, filters, kits, additive, gauges and apparel. because they do not charge for shipping, include a new lift pump, and will not precharge you a core charge. If you "forget" to send the core back, you will get a core charge.

Great folks to deal with. I had a shortage on my first shipment which arrived on a Wednesday. Needed the truck on Saturday, they overnighted the shorted parts so I could keep my plans intact. Great folks!

New pump ordered. Does anyone have dimensions for the gear puller, might as well make one while I am waiting and get paid to make it. ;):-laf

Check out Industrial Injection in Salt Lake. I installed a rebuild on mytruck and have been a happy camper. Good tech support.

They also have a gear puller.

Good Luck

Ordered from Diesel performance parts. Pump is sitting at home waiting for me. Anyone know what the distance is between the centers of 8mm screws for the "gear puller". I would like to make something up while I am able to and have the machinery to do it tonight , we don't work friday nights:D:cool:, also do not have machine tools at home.

Didn't have the greatest customer service from Industrial Injections, but the pump works. Will try someone knew if i had to do it again.

Just measured the one I got from Industrial. The two slots are 25. 5mm from inside to inside and 55. 5 from outside to outside. In other words, they're each about 15mm long and the above measurements are the centering locations looking down at the puller.

Hope this helps.

Yep, thanks. Old is out went fairly well, considering I had a 3yr old helper:).

New installation not going so well. Have to go fishing for a key:mad:#@$%!:{:{:{ no I didn't have my helper nearby when it fell down inside. Anybody have some good advice about that. HELP:confused:

No advise here. Just curious how it fell in. I am looking at a possible new pump too, and was curious if you can tell me what NOT to do.
Good luck getting the key out.

My best guess is that the key was not quite aligned with keyway in gear at 12:00 position. The edge of key must have cought just enough to push it out of key way. The first thing that is stressed by every bit of information that I have seen is to make shure key way is at 12 o clock position. I would also suggest some center punch marks on one side of key, to tighten the fit in the pump shaft, just enough to keep it from moving so easily when you assemble things. just watch things very close it happens fast :mad:

I am going to start new thread on this new problem :eek:
