Started in this morning to replace the vacuum pump shaft seal because that's what I thought was causing a pretty heavy oil leak and found BAD NEWS! My VP44 mounting bracket was broken and I lost two of the four main mounting studs (from the timing cover assy) and all four of the nuts! I don't know what was holding the pump in?!

I guess I caught it just before seriously worse things started to happen, In any case, I have checked everything out and no cracks on the timing cover assy but a couple of the holes where the mounting studs were are slightly worn and may cause problems when I try to put the new studs in. Also one of the injector fuel line brackets was cracked, but should be easily replaced or fixed. Other than that, I don't think anything else suffered much damage.

I need to either replace the bracket that goes from the rear of the VP44 to the block or have it welded. Anyone have any recommendations? I also need the mounting studs. Any recomendations as to where I can locate these would be helpful. I didn't have any luck locating anything here locally today (Our dealer is closed until Monday. ) Any suggestions or other ideas would be much appreciated.
