Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) VP44 need help

Yesterday I was running on the highway with a friend. He asks me what is that Edge box for with the small button?

Well I say if I turn it red look what happens, so I put the the power edge box to the red light and push it. Wow he goes this thing is scary and right after I got a dead pedal. I turn the key of, try to start it again but it will not run. the lift pump is running.

As I have a 99 I cannot read codes. The check gauges light stays on when I crank the engine.



VP44 dead, I am 99% shure



Any opinions?

I would agree crack a couple of lines and look for fuel

Yep VP44 is dead.

I had a cracked 53 block with the pump and just swapped the pump, running fine now.



Any repair centers for VP44's? Might me a good time to upgrade!

The older VP's are more subject to failier.
