Lately my truck has been starting to misbehave while running on diesel. It's starting to miss, sometimes immediately after startup, and is getting pretty hiccupy if I drive it around. I've been able to pull a P1690 code out of it, so I guess I'll try swapping out the CMP sensor, but other than that, it looks like it's going to be time for another VP44.

I'm thinking I'll probably get a pump from Midwest Fuel Injection. Is anyone here running one of their high performance pumps? Is it worth it if all I'm running for upgrades is an Edge EZ with stock injectors, stock turbo, etc?

been a member since 1999 and marvel at the number of vp-44 that are replaced My truck has just passed 532000kms. or 330,000K original vp-44 and injectors. I bought outright a vp-44 and new Bocch 275s two years ago and they are still in the box. I have read a lot of discussions regarding the vp-44 and all the mods done in order to prolong its life seems like most of these have done little to improve things. My pump came from Midwest injection but I can say yet how there pump is. All the best in your search for a new pump.
