Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) VP44 or cam sensor

Replaced lift pump 2k ago, also installed max flow kit, everything was fine for a while, now I'm getting a miss or stumble above 2000 rpm, I have heard on this forum and others, that soon after lift pump replacement the VP goes shortly after. I run a Banks 100hp Boss Hoss module which has run flawlessley( is that a word )for 2 years ( yes its the old one that taps the pump wire ) but if its the VP, I am thinking about disconnecting it ( back to stock ) I can not afford a new VP every 60K miles. Where is the best place to get the new VP, (or rebuilt ) and does anyone make a HP VP or stronger rebuild.

I would say the VP. Did it throw any codes?? do a search on here for VP44 you will get all kinds of reading.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Does it stumble with and/or without the Boss Hoss Module? Have you tried resetting your APPS yet?

I use www.piersdiesel.com for a TON of info, he has a better VP (not sure exactly what is better, but something has to be improved!)
