Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) vp44 problems

i am having problems with my 2002 24v i put a bully dog big fuel kit in cause i thought the stock lift pump was bad but if i hammer on i therw all 6 gears and then go back to idel the truck starts to sputer and then if u tap the pedel it will run fine do u think the vp44 is bad?

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on it? If you do , what are you reading for pressure?

without fuel pressure guage it is hard to diagnose typically if vp44 is bad truck won't run it does sound like your truck is being starved fuel

i still dont have a gauge but for some reason as long as i run diesel kleen in the fule it will run fine if i dont have diesel kleen in it it losses power and sputters when you let off after running hard
