Looking like i need a new vp 44 i have a 1999 with 4'' straight pipe exhaust, bully dog pusher pump {gauge shows around 25 psi at idle} edge ez chip, afe intake,[ egt, boost & fuel gauges] also was told when i bought the truck the injectors were oversized should i go back stock or look at something like a hot rod vp44 and where is the best place to get it from. Thanks

If it were me I would still go with Blue Chip VP-44 pump. You can call Chip Fisher at 888-472-7373 & tell him what you have & he can tell you what kind of pump you would need. Chip is real easy to talk too & he knows VP-44's. I think he would be straight foreword with you.

No need to go back to smaller injectors unless the ones you have run too hot or smoke too much. As for the VP44, there are many opinions. I have a Blue Chip in the '02 which has given me no trouble in almost four years and well over 100k; and I have a Midwest fuel injection pump in my '01 which was installed about two years ago now and has about 30k on it with no issues to date (in spite of running 240 HP injectors). You will find the newer remanufactured pumps to be much more durable than the original pumps.
