I have the vp unplugged and the 50 pin connector disconnected from the ECU.

Can anyone tell me which pins to check for continuity from the VP plug to the ECM Plug?

I have codes 1691 and 1693. Cleaned and checked all grounds. Batteries are 2 year old Die Hard Platinums. Disconnected the Quadzilla and returned every thing to original configuration. Still have 1691 and would like to check for intermittant opens in the harness.

Thanks in advance!

Have you checked for voltage at the VP connector. Should have 12 volts at pin 6 & 7, also you can run jumpers from battery +(positive) to pin 7 & -(negative) to pin 6 on the VP. If engine starts it will only idle & your VP is probably ok & you have problems elsewhere.

No, I did not check voltage there. But, the truck runs really good.

Now that I give it a thought, if I had a power interuption that could set a code also.

Got company now, I will check that out tomorrow.

Thanks, again.

Spoke with Chip at Blue Chip today and his suggestion was to clear the code with a scanner as all codes cannot be cleared by disconnecting the batteries. He said that my situation was somewhat unique in the way that the codes came up and that he suspects that RF may be the culprit.

I will post when I clear the codes with a scanner. I am now wondering how many pumps have been replaced due to erroneous codes... Hmmm.
