My truck died this morning on the way to work.
It died just as I punched it to the floor to pass a gravel truck that was spitting rocks at me. I'm thinking it is the vp44. It is still original and I've got 91,000 on it now.
What is the best way to determine if it is in fact the vp44? I'm gonna see if there are any codes in the computer but the MIL is not on so I'm thinking there won't be any codes. My thought is the vp44 is the problem here because it died a fraction of a second after I kicked the go pedal down. Does this sound reasonable? What checks should I do to make sure before I go ahead and order the new pump?
Thanks much
