Wow what a BIG difference!! I have the Intank retrofit pump, and along with the relocation kit and the cummins campaign pump, it is currently making 20psi @ idle. Driving the pressure hardly fluctuates, I really have to romp on it to get it to drop pressure. Now I feel comfortable that that this thing is getting enough fuel. When I was purging the system to get the air out, I had about 2 gallons in a container after 3 key cycles. Now my only concern is that I have too much pressure. If you haven't done this mod yet, do it!

Ok, my error. I thought you did the Draw Straw also.

So the retrofit comes with everything i will need?

If you are mounting a stock pump on the frame rail, find a way to use rubber isolators on the bracket mount to decrease noise in the cab from the pump. SNOKING

I have a stock pump I bought from Cummins 2 years ago. I think I will use it and the Vulcan relocate kit.

Any comments from anyone?? with this setup??

Noise isn't too bad with the truck running. Sure can hear it when the voltage drops when the manifold heaters are cycling. I think I'll give the rubber isolators a try though.

52K on the original lift pump. Mounted on the frame with Geno's Vulcan to the fuel filter, Geno's Bango at outlet of FF and I drilled the input bango at the VP44. 15 Lbs at idle, 14 cruising and 12 to 13 at WOT. SNOKING

I used a stock pump and the Vulcan relocate kit plus the big line kit which replace all the banjo fittings from fuel pump to fuel filter. It all works great. I didn't isolate mine with rubber because my 01 is so noisy I can't here the pump when the truck is running but I like to hear the pump run when i first turn the key on.

The vulcan relocation big line kit is one of the best mods for the money you can get. Top qaulity hose and fittings. ;)

Didn't do that. I left the in tank intact and I'm running both pumps in series.

Did the same awhile ago. Lots of pressure and flow as you described. I added Glaciers bypass to keep the pressure under control.

You might think about running the Carter off a relay instead of ECM supply voltage. That way you're getting a solid 12V straight from the battery.

Anyway I'm pretty happy with this set-up and the pressure holds up under any load.

PMcBride, Does the kit come with everything I need to run them in series?

Everything is included in the kit, the only thing I had to buy was a 30 amp relay for the frame mounted pump. When they installed the in-tank pump it came with trigger harness and relay for the in-tank pump. I just tapped into the trigger harness for the new relay to run the frame mounted pump. Ran the power from the battery via a 15 amp fuse. I can take pictures tonight if you need.

I do better with pictures. If you have time that would be cool... ...
