2000 Ford Mustang radio question...

Biggest tire size on a 96 1500 stock height?

i was watching Power block's Xtreme 4x4 today, and they swapped the gasser motor out of a Suzuki Samurai to a VW TD. . that sparked my interest to see if maybe there are any adapter kits for the VW diesel engine to fit an 85 Toyota truck. . does anyone know if there is one out there? or am i pretty much stuck with the gasser? id love to stick a small diesel engine like that in it for the torque and the fuel mileage. . the gasser in it only gets like 16 on the road, and id love for it to get over 20 miles to the gallon so i can start driving it instead of my fuel hog, lol... i love my Cummins, but dang it gets bad mileage!

Oh, I don't know anything about a adapter, but I do know something about the VW TDI. The TDI is no torque monster like your Cummins. It likes to rev before it gets its turbine spinning, and it's real obvious when it gets spooled. It's pretty weak-kneed until it spools. Look for a Cummins 4BT, perhaps, as an alternate?

thats one option i had in mind, but figured i might be able to pick up a vw for a little cheaper. . but you do make sense, i better put a 4bt in to be able to have some good low end grunt without revin it all the time. . ill look around and see if i can find an adapter for a toyota truck...

Seen the episode, loved it. Did some research and there are several people / places into the jetta powered Toyota. There are only 3 wires to hook up and your done. I may one day have a Jetta powered 87 4runner. There are a few people buying Toyota half clips (dash board forward) from Europe and using Toyota diesels.
