Recently I drove the new Jetta and found it plenty powerful with the six speed auto. All maintenance is covered for 3/36 so it might be advisable to leave it stock.
 
I had the same feelings, really wished that they had a jetta sport wagon in stock to try out. i agree that leaving it stock is a good idea, but where is the fun in that, LOL

My dealer buddy is being allocated only one Sportwagon a month,but they are coming. He's bummed that VW is not ramping up their volume of Jettas,only producing the same amount but with 35% diesels.

And they are close to 300 foot pounds of torque!

I drove one recently, unfortunately crippled by the automatic, and loved the "punch" of it. Can't wait to try out a 6-speed manual!
