I just got done putting in a driver side hub bearing and front axle u-joint. I get in the truck and the 4wd indicator light does not light when I'm in four wheel drive. (and the truck definitely is in 4wd) I have the manual transfer case truck.

I could swear it used to light before I started this repair, but I'm not 100% sure.

Any ideas where to look to see what's wrong.

The switch in the transfer case often will not make a good connection when you put it in 4WD... . often in the winter when we've not used 4WD will got 2 or 3 miles and the bounce of the truck will turn it on..... what you did on the front end has nothing to do with this switch being engaged...
