Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Hey all you Washington State TDR's, Bomber's and Rammers. Do you know that our good folks at the State Capital are right now discussing raising the gas tax by 9 cent per gallon? I'm not too upset by that cause we need traffic improvements, but I am upset that they are considering an ADDITIONAL 3 cent (on top of the 9 cents) diesel tax.
That's right 12 cent increase for diesel! Kinda takes away the economical bennies for driving a diesel. I've sent three emails to my district reps. Please send an email to yours. Diesel is cleaner burning (except Piers
) and higher MPG (ie greater conservation) than gasers. According to a reply back from Rep. Jim McIntire, the added diesel tax is specifically for taxing truckers due to increase wear on roads.
Problem is, cross state truckers don't have to fill up in Washington and we Rammers (Fords too) get stuck with the tax.
