Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) wait to start light flashing

wait to start light flashing "HELP"

Any body know why the wait to start light would be flashing on a 96 automatic with a pac-brake?

possibly...

your connection to the thermistor (air intake temp sensor) could be loose or possibly disconnected. I know that when I disconnect mine, or it becomes disconnected (has happened once!) the wait to start light will stay on for the full preheat time and then it will start flashing. Check that connection, the AIT sensor should be in your intake manifold somewhere around the intake horn. It's right underneath mine, but its a fist gen. I know they're different on 2nd gens!! I actually think it's on the top or your manifold. good luck!!
