my 01 cummins wait to start light is blinking on and staying on some... . also when i touch the brakes it comes on even brighter... ... . any one had this trouble and know why its doing it

I'd start by checking for brake fluid around the Master cylinder and all the wheel cylinders. Also hold your foot firmly on the brake pedal to see if it goes down. If you are loosing fluid and you don't see it anywhere, it could be going into the booster tank.

While I don't have personal experience with it, I've heard of the wiring harness leading into the steering column shorting out from repeated use of the tilt. Apparently the wiring is a bit too short, and when there are bare wires you get odd lights coming on. Not saying that's it, but it could be something to check.
