Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Walker Muffler and tail pipe

I was thinking about installing a Walker 21471 Muffler and 54150 Tail Pipe on my stock truck to lower EGT while towing 8K 5er. Does this combo bolt right on? Does anyone have reduction numbers for EGT. What about hangers etc? Thanks Snoking

Just finished road test. NO DRONE!!!!!



Get the sawsall out right away. I tried to use my air muffler chisel at first. If you do not have a sawsall, this is your chance to own one. You will say, "how did I live all these years without one!"



New system is a nicely designed, all the hangers lined up to OEM rubber mounts. Any good home garage guy (or gal) could install it. I have a Standard Cab and had to cut a small (6 or 8 inches) section of the extended cab pipe (included) and put it in front of the muffle.



Only slightly louder than stock system. Turbo does seem to spool up faster.

Magnaflow kit 15924

BTW, the Magnaflow kit 15924 that he gave me had the 3 1/2 down pipe, which should be fine with my stock engine. Rest is all 4". The most I would ever do (after DTT) would be a EZ and 275 RV injectors. Kit was all Stainless Steel including mounts, clamps and muffler. Seeing that he is a wholesale warehouse, I will let him know about the controversy about the down pipe in this kit not being 4" in some cases.
