Walmart has Rotella T6 synthetic for $17.98 a gallon minus a $5 rebate from Shell. I'd buy the T6 for $13 a gallon vice $9.44 for the Supertech. Also, Mobil Delvac is $10.97 a gallon. I have received a price match from Pepboys for the Delvac. Pepboys is a participant in the current $7 a gallon rebate but Walmart isn't. So have five gallons of Delvac I paid $4 a gallon for. With the current $21 for 2 LF16035 filters at Amazon, I am doing oil changes for $22.50.

With PQIADATA.ORG testing from 2016 CJ-4 engine oils, Supertech closely matches Mobil Delvac and Valvoline Premium Blue in all categories such as TBN, Vis, Calc, Mag, Phosp, and Zinc. If you aren't into the manufacture rebate game, Supertech is a good cheap option.

$7 a gallon rebate (5 gallons total) can be found by searching mobil delvac rebates. You can submit online like I did or fill out a form and mail in with the receipt. Received my rebate five weeks after submitting online. On the rebate site, note the participating dealers.

you are welcome, i've used it and travellers from tractor supply in my 04 for over 240K. i change it around 7500-9000 miles, when i have time really. most modern oils are designed to go on hours (500) not miles. so just change it when it should be, and the engine could care less.

So I've done some searching locally and the Delvac 1300 sure is priced all over the map. Walmart has it listed at $10.97 a gallon, Tractor Supply at $13 a gallon, neither of which are participants in the rebate. I don't have a Pep Boys anywhere near me. AutoZone and Advance Auto both carry it and are participants but are also selling it at $18.99 a gallon. Subtract the $7 rebate and Walmart still has them beat

I did see the T4/T6 and may go that route. Not a bad price after the rebate considering most places are selling the T4 at around that.

As much as I HATE stepping foot in a Walmart they sure are hard to beat on oil prices.

Tractor supply has travelers 15/40 on sale at time for around 9$ gallon. It’s good as well. Cal ranch has CAM2, its a good option too.

Oreilly has Mobil Delvac on sale for $13.99 which qualifies for the $7 Mobil rebate--$6.99 total. They also have Castrol GTX 15w-40 for $13.99 a gallon with a $10 rebate for two. I've found Oreilly will match the normal Walmart price which for Mobil Delvac which is $12.47. Minus the rebate, that is $5.47 a gallon. Both Mobil Delvac ($7) and Shell Rotella ($5) T5/T6 have a manufacture's rebate until 12/31/17. Shell's rebate is good for about any retailer store and even Amazon.

if i didn't already have over 60 gallons of oil on hand, i'd stock up some. but i just don't need it.. thanks for the info Doug.

There's an Oreilly in the same town I work, headed there today to see what kind of damage I can do to their inventory. Indeed that is a good deal with the rebates.
