I took my truck to dealer 2nd time for right hand pull. the first time they made some adjustments and said it drove normal. this time they wouldn't check it, they said it's been in before for the same thing, it's called (ready for this?) crown pull and they all do it. the only thing they can do is check toe but I will have to pay because Chrysler won't pay the tech to do it if it's over 10,000 miles. I'M STILL LAUGHING!

Hmmmm maybe that dealer for got to add a zero to the mileage warranty instead of 36000, he thinks its 3600. What a crock if it were mine it would go to another dealer closer if you have one and if not take it back or park it in their showroom floor Cowboy style *RIGHT THROUGH THE PLATE GLASS WINDOW* Im sorry i should not have said that :D , I thought the new warranties were 7yr 100,000 miles right

Well my buddy has an 04. 5 4X4 dually and his tracks with the crown of the road. A slight correction is needed. . We drove it on both side of the road Rh Lane require Lh correction... Lh lane requires Rh correction... ... . I noticed this as well as him when I drove is his truck in comparison when drove my 04. 5 2wd Dually which tracks straight as an arrow little if no correction required. .

I don't know what to say but from what I seen it looks like this is just an issue with 4x4 trucks

just my . 02 worth

Luna, where did you take your rig to? The bozo's in HR or The Dalles? I've had decent luck with the service department at HR but they have only looked at a minor problem or two I've had.

phloop,

I took my truck to Timberline Dodge in Portland because they sell a lot of trucks, and I figured they would have a good service dept.

The correction to take the pull out of the stearing wheel would be to increase the Caster angle on the front end... ... . Caster might not be adjustable on the front of our trucks... .

Zero caster and the truck will follow most crowns... on the older cars... . you actually set the caster up... to correct for this... .

Caster is what makes a shopping cart in the grocery store go straight ahead when you give it a shove... . without it... it would go where it wanted.....

I haven't looked at front end specification on trucks in years... but I'm betting that Caster is not an angle that can be adjusted... . If one of you guys still does front end work... please chime in.....

I have an alignment shop across the street from my business... . if I remember tomorrow I'll walk across and ask them...

Jim
