Where are the CTD'S????

Because they only have 6. 5 mm plungers. :eek: Cummins (with the p7100) have 12 mm plungers. The powerstroke fuel system functions differently than ours, but it still has some serious disadvantages. After looking at the guts of a powerstroke injector, I'm REAL glad I have a Cummins.



Just a random piece of trivia for ya'all. :)

Maybe so, but my bud Mad Dog managed to wring out over 600 HP out of one of them PowerStrokes. Takes a heckuva mechanic to do that. My other Ford lunatic friend out west, Psychostroker, keeps pushing the limits with his Ford. And there's Frank in Pennsylvania, a. k. a. Powersnorter, he's made remarkable accomplishments at the pulling track. Also our own Johnboy3, running twins on his Ford.

To me, that's real hotrodding, instead of a lot of us that hook a box to a wire and think we are the ultimate.

I'd definitely be proud to buy a 'stroke before I got forced back into a gasser! No mo gas, no way, no how !

Yes they do. A feature I would like to have I might add. A crew cab ford with dodge suspension and drive train (with a Cummins of course) would be the best truck I could ask for. :D

I would take a Ford 4dr with a Cummins in it over a Dodge 4dr Cummins anyday. Sit in the Ford and drive it. You too should agree.

I agree 100%, and they have much better brakes also! I'd even take a GM vehicle w/Cummins if it had a solid axle up front not IFS bull!
 
I have 350 F*rds at work mostly 250 and 350's I can't even stand to drive them. Let alone open the hoods and work on them.
 
You forgot about turning radius

Have you guys forgot about trying to tuurn one around - the Dodge will out-turn a Ford by a lot! This really comes in handy in narrow places, I've used it a lot.
 
My girl freind has a Phord, I drove it a couple of times against my better judgement, didn't like it one little bit. To much glass for one thing, and doens't like to stop very well, and they're interiors are infeirior, very very cheap, and the rattles, good greif, I thought it fall to pieces right there in the road. The biggest thing is that she thinks it's "Cute" :rolleyes: , well I 'll give her that, cause it's no man's truck. :p Hell they don't even have a 4x4 shifter on the floor anymore, yep it's cute alright. I used to like Phords, but that ended after the late '70"s F-250 4x4's, since then they've been downhill IMO.

I'm 6'4" so the HUGE cab is a very welcome feature. I don't like the way they ride or that cracker box of an engine. It just doesn't sound right to me, cheap and tinny. The Cummins sounds a lot more meaty and well-built. But the thing I like the most is that nice and roomy cab. Dodge has enough headroom, but ford has a comfortable excess of headroom. :cool:
 
I'm with hammersley on the turning radius. I had to move a crew cag long bed Ford at work a while back, and boy did that thing turn like a school bus. My truck is maybe a foot or foot and a half shorter, but turns 100% better. Oh yeah, interior=cheeese. Not bad mouthing Ford or anybody driving one, just some things I don't like about them.

On that AWESOME FORD PS sound

Well to be perfectly honest, my first truck was a ford, and I've owned 3 more. I'm selling the last one now and keeping the 1977 forever.



But now I drive a Cummins and giggle and grin everytime a hear a PS. They gots no SOUND! It's like putting a Honda next to a Harley:-laf :D



And none of them will race! They'd better take advantage of me now, pre-bomb;)
