Well, what you see is a whole lot of miscellaneous pieces that came from over a week of putting it down on paper, then checking with the local heavy duty truck parts distributor to see what was available in chrome, inside diameter, outside diameter, length of stacks, etc. I ended up finally getting the whole system where we only had to weld an elbow to a t-fitting, and had to custom make some clamps and one mounting tab. Everything else was a slip fit and went together relatively easily. Stainless steel band clamps hold it all together with the exception of the mounting tabs and supports, which are chrome guillotine clamps strategically placed to provide a functional support, while remaining pleasing to the eye. We DO plan on doing this many more times to anyone's truck who wants it. The biggest things to consider are the fact that every truck is different in some aspect, and that cutting the hole requires a bunch of those differences to be considered. I drilled a few 1/8 pilot holes from the bottom to give me an idea of where the support was when I was drilling from the top. I got rid of all the extra holes when I drilled the big one. My planning took all that into consideration and the bigger hole saw covered all the marker holes, so they were in the scrap that ended up inside the hole saw bit. It took just under four hours from start to finish, including unbolting and chiseling through some of the stuck fasteners that held on the old hangers to the frame. All of them had to go to make room underneath.
