Want good mileage?

Funny how this works. I usually get 19MPG around town. I moved the AFC forward and boy was that great and then I noticed, oh no 13MPG. Can moving the AFC hurt the mileage? Well I thought just maybe it might be my big foot so I took it easy for 200 miles, Bingo 22. 5 Mpg. Never let it get above 2000 RPM and boy does it get good mileage (but not near as much fun, oh well)

what's the AFC and how do I find and move it?

Turbo-D, DEEZUL has a 96 Ram. AFC is For the Boost signal to the Fuel pump(P7100). For Turbo Lag and or smoke conrol?. . I cant Think, I have too Many Valves on the Brain!

The AFC is on the back of the injector pump on top, it has 4 bolts holding it on and 1 of those is a break off bolt that is a PITA to get out (unless someone has been in there B4) loosen bolts and slide it towards the front of the truck. It controls fueling at different engine speeds and will make it smoke more at low RPM but runs stronger at low RPM also ( I love it). I dont believe the 24 valve motors have this setup.

On Monday I did the 1st milage check since bombing. A good solid 20mpg #ad
and I'd been in it a little bit here and there #ad
