I think its the 4 R what ever is stock for a V10 ford

Did the one shown have a vibration that sounds like the t-case ? i had the tires rebalanced , they were out but it sounds like the t-case hits the floor , im thinking crappy transmission mount rubber any ideas ?, i also cant figure out how to make the trip meter/temp guage on the celing work worked for a second was all then the passenger widow dont go down all the way , newer fords are new to me but over all better than the 96 burb i had

I bought the Excursion with the '97 Cummins already installed a few weeks ago. I'm currently in the process of swapping in a ZF6 manual transmission. No vibration on mine, other than the Cummins! Have you already done the swap? I don't think you'll ever be able to get the DTE trip/mileage info overhead to work; it pulls info off of the OEM ECU. Unless you're talking about a random electrical glitch that won't even let it illuminate...I can't help you there. I'm as new to Fords as you are.

My engine mounts are from DCS, Diesel Conversion Specialists (formerly Ford Cummins).

If you have the 4R100, they can be built well to handle the Cummins. You'll need to run a PCS controller, or spend some time getting the right signals to the OEM transmission controller to keep it happy. If you have the 5R110, I wouldn't recommend that transmission unless you're going to keep the engine at <300 hp.

What transmission did yours have that your replaceing ?
How did it play with the factory guages ?
Im trying to figure out what year to run , I have a 93 sitting on my shop floor needs a pump bought a bad one from DCP back east i wont use them again , If i could find it id do a P7100 swap
If the wife would go for it id put a manual in it my self as well
If you have any parts your going to part with let me know I might be a buyer

My '03 Excursion came with the 6.0 Ford diesel, and the 5R110W automatic. When the Cummins was swapped into it, they used the same 5R110 transmission, and paired it with a PCS controller. It drove pretty well, but this particular transmission is not a good match for high horsepower applications. The Cummins in my Excursion is a twin-turbo, o-ringed and studded engine making maybe 550 - 600 hp. I really hate to de-tune an engine that runs so well, so I opted to ditch the automatic and go with a 6 speed manual transmission.

I will have a bunch of stuff for sale... the 5R110 transmission that needs freshened up, the NP273F electric transfer case, torque converter, the Cummins to 5R110 adapter plate by Diesel Conversion Specialists, flywheel, and PCS transmission controller. I'd make someone a deal on it all if they want it.

All the factory gauges work well, other than the tach. It jumps around a little, but I think the pickup just needs adjusted. All other gauges work perfectly.

I'll put up some more pictures if you're interested.
