2006 Quad Cab. Im having trouble accessing under seat storage. Driver side will fold all the way up but passenger side of back seat seems to get caught 1/4 of the way up any ideas on what it might catch on or where to start looking? Thank you.

Disassembly sounds great. How? Seat belts look clear. It is metal stopping seat. Very soild hit. Raises about foot in the front, no more.

I occasionally have the same problem but mine is on the drivers side seat section, if I work it up and down several times it will go all the way up.
Never had it not go up after several tries, usually only takes a second try.
As you said something metallic is catching, but I have not been able to find out what as of yet. I lubricated the pivot points on the hinges and it seemed to help a little but it still binds sometimes.
Almost seems like some sort of safety lock function on the seat, kind of like when the seat belt straps lockup and you have to release them to pull them out further.
Will be interesting to see if someone chimes in and has the answer to this, I have gotten a lot of helpful info on this site over the years I bet somebody will know the answer.

There is a scroll shaped pendulum on the pin at each end of the seat, it is about 1/4" thick, metal. I think it is to lock the seat down in an accident (If rear ended) If this pendulum is not swinging freely it will keep the seat from being raised more than about one foot as described. I suppose it could be rust keeping it from working or even some debris in the slot alongside the pendalum. Take a thin blade screwdriver and probe the pendulum and see if it is free. If not try to turn it toward rear of truck and see if that doesn't allow the seat to be raised. Of course it is more accesable if the seat is raised. bg
